Gordon Brown's visit to US

PM Gordon Brown visited states recently urging new policy between EU and US cooperation, he called for it's the time for both EU and America holding hand to hand,to promote world stability and prosperity.

Instutional reformation

Prime Minister emphasized the reformation of institution such UN, World Bank and International Monetary fund.

UN should be more efficient in conflict provention and resolution.

IMF needs to develop an warning system that could prevent problems such as global credit crunch.

The WB to aquire a new environmental emphasis.

Reframe the new international architecture

Gordon Brown appealled for strong regional organisations, build up the African Union, as like europeans build up Euorpean Union.

Finally he urged to bring the tourbled world the humanitarian and peacekeeping,and the support for stability and reconstruction that has been absent for too long.

The rising powers such China, South Africa, India, and Brazil should have more influence in organisations such as G8, the IMF and the WB.

Some media comment Brown's states visit was shadowed by the Pope Benedict XVI.
