A test aiming to exam potential applicants' news writing and general knowledges was held today at noSWeat Journalism Training Centre in central London.
The test includes three sections - news writing and correction, general knowledges and journalistic values awarenesss, and it lasts one hour and 15 minuites.
Speaking with the centre examiner Andrew, he said:" noSWeat is recognised as a high quality NCTJ course provider. We provide out students an insight into professional journalism in Britain.
"Many students from the course go on working with local newspapers or magazines, and many of them have a very successful journalism career later on.
"The course also offers students a chance to get to know the industry professionals, as most of the tutors here are former journalists."
The centre requires each candidate to provide his/her C.V, two referee details, as well as their copy cuttings (if they have any), also every single applicant will have an interview before their test.
The interview mainly ask applicants to give an brief introduction of themselves, talk about what journalistic experiences they have to date, and discuss news they are interested in.

Unconditional offer from NCTJ course provider
I have received the following e-mail in early June, which qualified me to attend UK newspaper journalism professional training course recognised by the National Council for the Training of Journalists.
The NCTJ Pre-entry Certificate is recoginsed by journalism employers nationwide.
Dear Yixiang
I am pleased to tell you that we are able to offer you a place on the September 2009 NCTJ Pre-entry Journalism Course at Lambeth College.
Would you please confirm by return of email, to say whether you wish to accept the place or not. If I have not heard from you by Friday, June 12, then your place will not be held.
